The Connecticut Development Authority board of directors approved a direct loan for $250,000 to benefit SunnyCor, Inc. of Terryville, Connecticut.

“This loan from the CDA will allow us to remain competitive, get our finances in order, but most importantly keep people employed,” said John Cole III, president of SunnyCor.

Founded in 1993, SunnyCor is a precision machine shop that services the aerospace, defense, oil and gas, electronics, medical, and communications industries. SunnyCor specializes in hard-to- produce parts and components used in measurement, instrumentation, and control systems. The company’s capabilities include both long and short run parts using CNC lathe, CNC milling, honing, grinding, electrical discharge machining (EDM), and finishing processes to support customers’ development and product engineering departments.

The state assistance will allow SunnyCor to continue operations as an independent machine shop.

“We are supporting business decisions that enhance operating efficiencies for companies like SunnyCory, and are pleased to assist the precision machining suppliers to Connecticut’s manufacturing industry,” said Marie O’Brien, president of CDA.
