Governor M. Jodi Rell announced today that a New Haven manufacturer specializing in water treatment is receiving $600,000 in state assistance to expand its operations.

The Connecticut Development Authority (CDA), in conjunction with People's United Bank, is providing H. Krevit & Company, Inc., Inc with the financing to build a new 20,000-square foot warehouse and office building.

“The state of Connecticut stands ready to do business with employers who are committed to growing our economy,” Governor Rell said. “I am pleased the CDA can be a strong partner by offering assistance to businesses of all types and sizes.”

Founded in 1919, Krevit manufactures industrial chemicals, including treatments for swimming pools as well as chemicals for dry cleaning, fuel oil distribution and plating.

Since January, the CDA has approved over $26 million in financing to businesses across the state, helping to retain and create over 2,500 jobs.

The Connecticut Development Authority is a member of the state’s economic development team, stimulating investment in commercial and industrial businesses and retaining and creating jobs that contribute to the state’s economy, technology base, intellectual capital and infrastructure.
